As a Senior Director Enterprise AI Platforms, you will drive the development and deployment of pioneering AI solutions within our global biopharmaceutical business.

Role Responsibilities

In this role, you will steer AstraZeneca's AWS AI ecosystem, ensuring seamless operation and integration with broader business platforms. You will manage a team of AI engineers and work with various partners to build a robust, secure, and cost-effective machine learning environment. Your strategic vision will consolidate existing AI platforms and influence AWS product roadmaps in alignment with AstraZeneca's unified AI strategy.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Develop technical strategies and partner with global teams.
  • Influence, communicate strategy, and manage budgets and resources.
  • Strong software coding skills; proficiency in Python preferred.
  • Experience leading enterprise platforms and team management.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services including SageMaker, Athena, S3, EC2, RDS, and Glue.
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and infrastructure as code tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Cloud Formation.
  • Experience with SAFe agile principles and internal security standards.
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with GxP compliant life science systems.
  • Certifications in relevant fields.
  • Experience building large scale data processing pipelines (Hadoop/Spark, SQL).
  • Multi-cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Work Environment

While the role requires a minimum of three days per week in the office, AstraZeneca values flexibility and balances in-person collaboration with individual work preferences.
