Job Description

About the Role: Medical Science Liaison Oncology Breast Cancer

AstraZeneca is seeking a dedicated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Oncology, with a focus on Breast Cancer. This role is crucial for providing scientific and medical support, fostering key expert relationships, and contributing to strategic medical planning within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide scientific and medical support within the assigned therapeutic area, aligned with the relevant cross-functional strategy and medical plan.
  • Lead ongoing, non-promotional scientific exchange with key external experts, strengthening existing relationships and identifying and developing new expert partnerships.
  • Capture, map, and communicate territory insights (scientific needs, unmet needs, patient pathway and treatment landscape learnings), and manage these insights through approved processes to inform internal stakeholders and strategy.
  • Deliver high-quality medical education and scientific presentations.
  • Maintain and continuously develop therapeutic, clinical, and scientific expertise, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of relevant guidelines, publications, congresses, and competitor landscape.
  • Ensure full compliance with AstraZeneca policies, global standards, and local SOPs, including pharmacovigilance, medical governance, and documentation requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: University education and degree in life sciences. A Medical Doctor or Pharmacist degree is an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical commercial and/or medical experience in the relevant field.
  • Personal Skills: Scientific commitment, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Language: English at least at conversational level.
  • PC Skills: Advanced user-level computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook).
  • Driving: Category B driving license, several years of safe driving experience, and willingness to travel within Hungary.

  • External: Physicians and scientific experts, Other healthcare professionals.
