AstraZeneca is a global leader in oncology R&D. The Director, Business Planning and Operations is a strategic partner and trusted advisor for the VP, Cancer Biomarker Development and Leadership Team. In this role, you will shape business strategy, support special initiatives, drive budgeting and planning processes, and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Thought Partnership & Strategic Advisor: Advise the VP and Leadership Team with business strategy insights.
• Business Cases & Special Initiatives: Develop robust business cases and lead cross-functional projects.
• Budgeting, Planning & Resource Management: Oversee budgeting, resource planning, and spend tracking.
• Operational Leadership: Coordinate meetings, objectives, and resource allocation discussions.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of drug or biomarker development experience, expertise in business case development, project management, and excellent stakeholder communication skills. Experience with AI tools and complex business processes is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree or MBA, strong oncology therapeutic area knowledge, and proven leadership in cross-functional teams.
