Clinical IT Platform AWS Engineer

As an IT Integration Engineer dedicated to SnapLogic, you will join a high-impact team connecting clinical and enterprise platforms through secure, reliable, and reusable integrations. Your work will streamline data flows, reduce friction between products, and enable faster, more confident decisions across the business. From sprint planning to launch, you will translate complex requirements into scalable patterns that stand up in a regulated environment.
This role sits at the heart of our digital transformation. As we scale a bold data strategy, you will partner with product, engineering, and clinical collaborators to compose, build, and evolve integrations that power the enterprise. You will turn integration standards into outcomes—speed, resilience, and simplicity—while improving automation and operational excellence.
Accountabilities
The role of our ideal candidate will include but not be limited to:
- Serve as an internal consultant and Clinical domain expert for IT and business partners across regions and business areas.
- Participate in business requirement gathering and build activities with business & IT collaborators as part of a scrum team.
- Perform delivery activities through Design / Build / Test / Deploy phases for regular releases and key platform initiatives.
- Design and build extensions for cross-product integrations to accommodate custom business flows.
- Ensure that all system security and control procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Generate and implement ideas to simplify / streamline our integration landscape in alignment with integration design and patterns.
- Maintain configuration specification documentation for both functional and integration configuration.
- Manage/Update JIRA Board during the lifecycle of an implementation, focusing on requirements gathering, configuration, validation/testing, training, and debut activities during releases.
- Work with the Cross Product Integration team to edit/update/maintain integration interfaces.
- Work with the Cross Product technical team on requirements and issues related to Product API, Security Set-up, and Functional Configuration.
- Responsible for solving day-to-day incidents, service requests, and working towards incident reduction and automation. Also, update Service Now (ticket management tool) for all events with respect to incidents, service requests, changes, and problems.
- Drive small modules in support transitions and ensure application stability when taking over BAU support of new applications.
- Provide guidance and assist in the preparation of system-related specifications and documentation.
- Build Integration pipelines in alignment with Standard architectural patterns & create reusable artifacts wherever possible.
- Work with the Integration Dev Ops Lead, including vendor teams, to build new pipelines in AWS.
- Understanding of Lambda, S3, Batch, ECR, Step Functions, VPC, NLB, ALB.
Essential Skills/Experience
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in clinical development and/or software development environments preferred.
- End-to-end knowledge of clinical trial development processes and its associated system landscape.
- A proactive approach and enthusiasm for Agile environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud providers and services.
- Production experience delivering CI/CD pipelines (Github, Jenkins).
- Experience in performance tuning SQL and ETL pipelines.
- Excellent Cloud DevOps Engineer capable of developing, testing, and maintaining CI/CD Pipelines using Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Extensive experience in fixing data issues, analyzing end-to-end data pipelines, and working with users to resolve issues.
- Masterful debugging and testing skills to ensure excellence in execution.
- Inspiring communication abilities that elevate team collaboration.
- Experience with structured, semi-structured (XML, JSON), and unstructured data handling, including extraction and ingestion via FTP/SFTP.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies, like GenAI / AI platforms.
- Experience working with Lambda, S3, Batch, ECR, Step Functions, VPC, NLB, ALB.
- Experience working with Snowflake, Postgres, and MySQL.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in computer science or a life science-related field with IT, CRO, or Pharma experience totaling 6+ years.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- ITIL practices (change management, incident and problem management, and others).
- Experience in GxP or SOx regulated environments.
- Exposure to Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Cyber compliant architectures.
- Hands-on experience in Java 17 and above.
- Exposure to iPaaS tools such as SnapLogic, Mulesoft.
