Job Overview

AstraZeneca is seeking an Analyst – Data Engineer at Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore, to transform data science solutions for the Rare Disease Unit. As a key individual contributor, you will craft, develop, and deploy advanced data solutions that impact patient lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with commercial and data science teams to enhance business solutions.
  • Translate business logic into technical requirements including queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain databases, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
  • Analyze data, present findings, and generate ongoing reports.
  • Support BAU activities with data profiling, process improvement, and optimization for ML models.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • BS/MS in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • 4+ years in data engineering with proficiency in Python, SQL, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, MongoDB, Apache Spark, and AWS cloud.
  • Experience building ETL pipelines and data integration.
  • Ability to automate data transformations and optimize large data sets.
  • Knowledge of Git and process support in maintenance projects.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Big Data technologies like Hive, Spark, Scala, and HDFS.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools and API REST services.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data systems and Salesforce/Veeva CRM.
