Role: Senior Software QA Engineer

Position based in Bengaluru, India at Astera Labs Design Center. In this role, you will work with leading processor and GPU vendors, cloud service providers, and top manufacturing companies to eliminate performance bottlenecks in compute intensive workloads, including AI and Machine Learning systems.

Responsibilities

• Estimate work, identify dependencies and develop schedules.
• Design and execute functional, performance, interoperability, and stress tests.
• Collaborate with Silicon, Architecture, and FW Development teams to develop test strategies.
• Conduct manual and automation testing, including automation development.
• Perform signal integrity and protocol level validations.
• Collect and analyze PCIe trace data using PCIe analyzer tools.
• Execute PRBS testing, loopback, and margining tests.
• Work with OOB testing and protocols such as MCTP, I2C, SPDM.
• Engage with hyperscale and Tier 1 OEMs to communicate plans, address escalations and meet SLAs.
• Mentor and coach team members, and ensure requirements management and traceability through development phases.
• Utilize tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence regularly.

Basic and Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Master’s/PhD preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of experience, particularly as a PCIe switch test engineer.
• Strong understanding of PCIe protocol and scripting in Python.
