Assembly Operator Role at Astemo Ltd

We are seeking an Assembly Operator to join our team and contribute to our innovative manufacturing processes.

Essential Functions

  • Follow operator instruction sheets and verbal guidance.
  • Check products and component dimensions using gauges and indicators.
  • Change simple parts and fixtures during product changeovers.
  • Inspect products manually and visually for defects.
  • Input daily data for manufacturing, engineering, and quality reports.
  • Maintain a clean work area utilizing 5S policies.
  • Comply with TS16949, ISO14000, and customer quality standards.
  • Suggest and implement continuous improvement programs.
  • Communicate machine issues to support staff and co-workers.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience, especially in electronic/mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to work in a team to achieve production goals.
  • Basic math skills and manual dexterity.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
  • Acceptable scores on pre-employment assessments.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work is performed in a plant environment with necessary safety equipment (hat, safety glasses, steel toe shoes). Physical tasks include frequent walking, occasional standing and sitting, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
