Assembly Operator Role at Astemo Ltd

We are seeking an Assembly Operator to join our team and contribute to our innovative manufacturing processes.
Essential Functions
- Follow operator instruction sheets and verbal guidance.
- Check products and component dimensions using gauges and indicators.
- Change simple parts and fixtures during product changeovers.
- Inspect products manually and visually for defects.
- Input daily data for manufacturing, engineering, and quality reports.
- Maintain a clean work area utilizing 5S policies.
- Comply with TS16949, ISO14000, and customer quality standards.
- Suggest and implement continuous improvement programs.
- Communicate machine issues to support staff and co-workers.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience, especially in electronic/mechanical assembly.
- Ability to work in a team to achieve production goals.
- Basic math skills and manual dexterity.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
- Acceptable scores on pre-employment assessments.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work is performed in a plant environment with necessary safety equipment (hat, safety glasses, steel toe shoes). Physical tasks include frequent walking, occasional standing and sitting, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
