Residential Property Claims Adjuster at Assurant
Assurant is seeking a Property Claims Adjuster to manage first-party property claims across various home types—including traditional, mobile, and condominiums. In this role, you will be responsible for making coverage decisions, assessing damages, and guiding policyholders through the claims process with empathy and professionalism.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage an inventory of property claims and evaluate coverage and damages.
- Conduct investigations and establish action plans based on policy, best practices, and state regulations.
- Communicate with policyholders, public adjusters, attorneys, and third parties.
- Review estimates and negotiate fair settlements with insureds and vendors.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely resolution of claims.
- Apply policy knowledge, Xactimate, and claims handling guidelines.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with empathy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years residential property claims adjusting experience (CAT and daily claims).
- P&C Adjuster license required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry on multiple screens.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
