Business Analyst at Associated Agencies Inc
As a Business Analyst, you will lead the charge in converting claim, exposure, and operational data into actionable insights to help clients reduce cost of risk, protect people and customers, enhance compliance, and save money on insurance. You will work with some of our largest clients and prospects to better manage their property, Workers’ Compensation, general liability, and automobile risks, and showcase how data can drive improved risk outcomes.

Core Responsibilities
- Build and maintain custom client-facing dashboards in Power BI showcasing claim performance, cost of risk, experience modification analyses, and property portfolio details.
- Extract, cleanse, and blend structured and semi-structured data sources into complete, holistic analyses.
- Translate findings into executive-ready deliverables such as slide decks, briefs, and reports.
- Support new business pursuits with data-driven insights and deliver diligence reports for private equity transactions.
- Identify automation opportunities to streamline recurring analytics workflows and act as a thought leader.
- Deliver ad-hoc reports to clients and internal teams as required.
Requirements
- 1-3 years in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar quantitative role.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline preferred but not required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience in nested formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query.
- Intermediate-to-advanced Power BI experience (DAX, data modeling, visual customization).
- Proven ability to transform messy data into clear insights and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
- Strong business writing skills for presenting complex analysis in client-friendly language.
Additional Experience (Not Required)
- Experience with workflow automation tools like Power Automate.
- Content/prompt engineering for large language models.
- Proficiency in extracting data from PDFs and other unstructured sources.
