Overview

Ascension is seeking a Sr. Project Architect to plan and implement the architectural design of facilities. This role involves consulting with leadership to determine functional and spatial requirements, preparing design information, managing consultants and vendors, and ensuring code compliance for building projects.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with leadership to determine design requirements.
  • Prepare design, material, cost, and scheduling information.
  • Negotiate fees and maintain hospital design standards.
  • Manage consultants, external architects, and vendors.
  • Research, design, and maintain code compliance.
  • Review technical documents for proper implementation.
  • Support systemwide interior design standard development.
  • Research sustainable energy performance and maintenance requirements.

Requirements

  • Licensed Architect required relevant to state.
  • Minimum five years experience as Project Architect.
  • Experience with project management and construction administration.
  • Proficiency in Autocad, Revit, Sketchup, Adobe suite, Bluebeam, and rendering.
  • Preferred previous healthcare experience.
