How you’ll make an impact in this role
Key Responsibilities
- Resource and Project Coordination: Manage resource scheduling and allocation for data center projects and operations, ensuring appropriate staffing to support network, virtualization, and on-site activities.
- Stakeholder Coordination and Communication: Serve as the primary communication point for data center projects, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders (e.g., Application Owners, Engineering, Operations, and external vendors) and ensuring all parties are consistently informed of project status, risks, and changes.
- Project Leadership and Execution: Direct and lead complex, infrastructure-led data center projects, such as major consolidation efforts (e.g., decommission efforts), lifecycle management (e.g., UPS and CRAC unit replacements), and platform migrations (e.g., Hyper-V migration).
- Infrastructure Migration & Decommissioning: Actively assist in data center consolidation and migration efforts, managing the movement of physical and virtual assets, and improving the server decommission process.
- Process and System Alignment: Maintain and ensure quality of data in ServiceNow, focusing on updating Configuration Items (CI's) in the CMDB and managing change controls for Data Center Operations.
- Merger, Acquisition, and Divestiture (MA&D) Support: Collaborate with project teams to ensure Data Center teams are engaged and resources are allocated for ongoing MA&D efforts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT resource management or a similar coordination/management role.
- Strong technical understanding of data center infrastructure, including networking, server hardware, and power systems (e.g., UPS, PDU).
- Experience with ticketing and change management systems, specifically ServiceNow.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical staff, leadership, and project management teams (PMs).
What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Certification credentialed from the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers preferred.
Education
- High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
