About the Role
The IT Intern Clinical Imaging at Ascension offers a summer internship (May-August 2026) to work in a large IT service environment supporting healthcare end users. This role is part of the Clinical Imaging Uplift Program and provides hands-on experience in modern imaging solutions and enterprise platform management.
Responsibilities
As an intern, you will:
- Staff the Command Center and provide first-level support to clinicians.
- Participate in site walkthroughs and inventory discovery for hardware/software.
- Assist in quality assurance testing of new imaging technologies.
- Create and update technical documentation.
- Participate in technology projects and shadow experienced professionals.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Learning Experience
This internship is designed to develop both technical and customer service skills, offering mentorship and collaboration across IT Applications, Infrastructure, and Security teams. It is an immersive opportunity to learn through real-life projects and technology transformations.
