Compliance Specialist Privacy at Ascension

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining Ascension's commitment to privacy and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating and resolving privacy incidents reported through various channels, collaborating with legal and compliance teams.
  • Coordinating and following up on audits and investigations for the compliance privacy monitoring program.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of HIPAA and other privacy policies and procedures.
  • Creating and delivering system-wide training and education programs on privacy matters.
  • Identifying opportunities to foster a culture of compliance and supporting the HIPAA Privacy vertical with data review and analysis.
  • Performing other assigned duties to support the compliance privacy team.

Education and Qualifications

Minimum requirements include:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, OR
  • Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree, OR
  • 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare privacy compliance.
