POSITION SUMMARY

The Service Clerk plays a critical role in keeping our Service Department running smoothly and efficiently. This role provides administrative and operational support to service leadership, technicians, and customers, ensuring compliance with DOT and company requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Open, update, and close service work orders accurately.
  • Prepare and distribute work order documentation and related reports.
  • Process technician labor hours and employee time records.
  • Track equipment movement and report shipping/receiving details.
  • Upload equipment photos and assist in inventory monitoring.
  • Perform equipment inspections and document findings.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance, safety vendors, and DOT compliance.
  • Manage service truck records and process invoices appropriately.
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team.
  • Run queries to assist with pricing and quotes.
  • Partner with sales and service staff to support customer needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have a two-year degree or high school diploma/GED with equivalent work experience. They should be proficient in Microsoft Office, possess strong organizational and analytical skills, and demonstrate clear, professional communication. Flexibility, quick learning and reliability are essential, as is the ability to work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & FLSA STATUS

This position requires regular communication, prolonged sitting, occasional standing, walking, bending, and the ability to lift up to 15 pounds. The role is classified as Non-Exempt under the U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
