About the Role
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on engineering capabilities with the ability to work through ambiguity, support cross-functional stakeholders, and contribute to scalable migration frameworks and operational best practices.This role will partner closely with Data Engineers, TPMs, BI Engineers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable data solutions supporting sustainability and operational initiatives.
Data Engineer - AWS Data Migration
Required Qualifications
Must Have:
- Data Migration experience.
- Data Engineering and AWS Tech Stack
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
- 3-7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, or large-scale data platform environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS data technologies including: AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, Lake Formation, Managed Airflow (MWAA)
- Strong programming skills in: SQL, Python, PySpark
- Experience building and supporting scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud-based environments.
- Experience working with structured and semi-structured datasets at scale.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, partitioning strategies, and query optimization.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale migration, modernization, or data transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with data validation, reconciliation, and migration testing methodologies.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed data processing workloads and production pipeline issues.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional stakeholder teams.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Location
Seattle, WA (Onsite 5 days a week)Salary Range
The salary for this position is between $140,000 - $160,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.Benefits
