This Data Engineer role is a foundational hire on the Data & Analytics team and offers the chance to work across product, engineering, and customer teams to bring powerful insights to life.

About the Role

The Data Engineer will:

• Integrate the company’s data stack with both mobile and web platforms
• Build meaningful dashboards and reports for internal teams and external users
• Develop AI-powered insights that elevate the end-user experience
• Take ownership of data tooling and shape the future of analytics

This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about clean code, robust data models, and high-impact scalable products.

Technology Stack

The role involves working with:

• Backend development: Node.js, TypeScript, SQL
• Cloud platforms: AWS
• Databases: PostgreSQL, Redshift (or BigQuery, Snowflake)
• Data tools: dbt, Cube.js, Dagster (or similar)
• Version control: Git
• CI/CD: Buildkite or similar
• Architecture: Microservices, GraphQL

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering background with commercial software development experience, proficiency in multiple programming languages, deep SQL and data modeling skills, and an aptitude for solving complex problems through data-driven thinking. A passion for clean, production-ready solutions and operational scalability is essential.
