Job Description

Desktop Support Engineer - Arvensys Group

Arvensys Group is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Engineer for its Nashik location. This role requires immediate availability or a notice period of up to 15 days. The offered compensation is between 20,000-23,000 CTC, with a required experience of 2+ years.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide IT Infrastructure field support for 2-3 years, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and operating system issues while adhering to security and compliance standards.
  • Conduct background checks, including verifiable references for education, qualifications, and previous employment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and fix hardware problems for desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripherals.
  • Follow installation instructions for desktop applications and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Possess basic knowledge of enterprise LAN/WAN setups and concepts, with the ability to perform smart hand activities under direction.
  • Be capable of lifting and moving computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Provide desk-side support and PC break/fix services, including basic Windows OS administration.
  • Identify locations requiring basic Mac OS support as a smart hands event and collaborate on a support strategy.
  • Preference for candidates with an Associate's Degree in Electronics and CompTIA A+ Certification, or equivalent internal standards.
  • Experience with anti-spyware and anti-virus software.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
  • Evaluate and install computer and networking hardware, including monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, routers, switches, firewalls, racks, and cabinets, under client-supported 'Smart Hands' capability.
  • Troubleshoot systems and networks using deductive reasoning skills under 'Smart Hands' capability.
  • Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills in both local language and English.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and complete tasks on time.
  • May be subject to a Service Readiness test by the client, with all training provided by the client.
  • Must possess a simple tool kit and a valid mobile phone, remaining contactable after hours for emergencies.
