Position Overview

The Manager, Network Systems & Security at Art Gallery of Ontario plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the gallery’s network architecture, wireless connectivity, and firewall infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Director, Information Technology, this position is critical for ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of both physical and virtual network infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee administration of LAN, WAN, wired and wireless systems.
  • Install, configure and secure new hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Manage network security protocols, configurations, and compliance.
  • Review network trends and recommend infrastructure enhancements.
  • Develop documentation, policies, and procedures for network systems.

Experience & Technical Requirements

Candidates must have 5-7 years of progressive experience in network systems and security. Experience with HP Procurve, Aruba, Fortinet, LAN/WAN support in a Microsoft environment, and familiarity with platforms like Windows Server, Microsoft 365, OS X, and Linux is essential. Knowledge of internet security, routing protocols, SNMP, QOS, DNS, FTP, DHCP, VPN, patch administration and VoIP telephony is also required.
