Job Description
About The Company
Our client is an investment firm that focuses on opportunities in real estate and asset-heavy industries. It targets areas with strong growth potential and in special situations with over $2 billion in AUM. The Assistant Controller will help manage the accounting, valuation, and financial reporting function for the firm.
Responsibilities
- Review books and records and supporting documentation for fund financial reporting
- Review and approve waterfall, management fee, and expense calculations
- Review investor capital calls, distributions, and related activities
- Assist with fund-level communications including annual reports, K-1s, and tax forms
- Assist with the quarterly valuation process including reviewing and analyzing portfolio company data for the fund’s quarterly valuation reporting of the investment holdings
- Develop firmwide analytics and forecasting models to drive decisions
- Complete annual audits and tax filings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5-7 years of both public and private accounting experience
- Experience with private equity investment funds
- Strong Excel skills
- CPA required
