About The Company

Our client is an investment firm that focuses on opportunities in real estate and asset-heavy industries. It targets areas with strong growth potential and in special situations with over $2 billion in AUM. The Assistant Controller will help manage the accounting, valuation, and financial reporting function for the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Review books and records and supporting documentation for fund financial reporting
  • Review and approve waterfall, management fee, and expense calculations
  • Review investor capital calls, distributions, and related activities
  • Assist with fund-level communications including annual reports, K-1s, and tax forms
  • Assist with the quarterly valuation process including reviewing and analyzing portfolio company data for the fund’s quarterly valuation reporting of the investment holdings
  • Develop firmwide analytics and forecasting models to drive decisions
  • Complete annual audits and tax filings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-7 years of both public and private accounting experience
  • Experience with private equity investment funds
  • Strong Excel skills
  • CPA required
