Come and join the team at Arms Acres! We are looking for a Director of Plant Operations to provide a safe and clean environment and meet all regulatory standards through the supervision of the departments of Maintenance and Housekeeping.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, on-call when necessary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement work plans for plant, equipment, vehicles, and grounds maintenance.
• Hire and supervise housekeeping and maintenance personnel.
• Prepare annual capital budget requests and oversee capital improvements.
• Order and maintain supplies and equipment in adequate amounts.
• Assist departments in maintaining their assigned areas.
• Provide reports to the Infection and Safety Committee and serve as Facility Safety Officer.
• Manage contracts with external vendors (with Financial Administrator approval).
• Ensure the physical plant complies with federal, state, and local regulations, including JCAHO standards.
• Develop manuals and checklists and educate staff on facility safety initiatives.
• Participate in Performance Improvement Initiatives.

Requirements

• HS/Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or Trade School Certification preferred.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in an institutional maintenance position.
• Five years' experience as a maintenance technician in a health care facility is preferred.
• Experience in HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing maintenance.
• Valid driver's license required.
