Job Description

Summary

The HR Business Partner will apply broad HR knowledge and hands-on expertise to support ARMADA Supply Chain Solutions' local warehouse operations. This role focuses on Talent, On-boarding and Training, Employee Relations, and HR Administration, partnering with warehouse operations and staffing firms to achieve staffing and onboarding goals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a HR business partner for local warehouse operations, translating business requirements into relevant HR actions and initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between Pittsburgh corporate HR and warehouse employees, advocating for Armada culture.
  • Provide HR support and guidance, fostering a collaborative culture by upholding HR Policies & Practices.
  • Offer guidance and influence on staffing decisions and changes.
  • Support and facilitate Training and Development initiatives.
  • Proactively address employee relations issues and serve as the primary contact for warehouse employees, facilitating investigations and resolutions.

Staffing/On-boarding

  • Build and maintain relationships with staffing agencies.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management, Pittsburgh Human Resources, and staffing agencies to meet warehouse staffing needs.
  • Manage and execute Armada's Recruitment & Selection programs for the Flower Mound Warehouse, including sourcing, scheduling, interviewing, and job offers.
  • Streamline the staffing process to ensure quick hiring of qualified candidates.
  • Complete new employee orientation processes.
  • Assist in executing Employee Events and tracking new hire training records.
  • Communicate with staffing agencies regarding necessary actions like terminations or counseling sessions.
  • Engage in Special Projects, Reports, and other activities as needed.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related business field is preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources is required. Previous HR experience in a warehouse setting or supporting warehouse employees is strongly preferred, as is recruiting experience.

Language and Technical Skills:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in training, coaching, and counseling employees and managers.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work schedule.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills.
  • Self-directed and adaptable to a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Red Prairie, JD Edwards, bar coding, and RF units is a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role typically involves work in a warehouse office environment with normal noise levels, including prolonged sitting and computer usage. The position is located in Flower Mound, TX. Business travel to operational sites in Greencastle, PA, Romeoville, IL, and the corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA may be required on an as-needed basis.
