Job Summary

The Oracle ERP Principal Presales Solutions Architect at Argano plays a vital role focusing on providing strategic technical leadership and innovation to the presales team. This position requires in-depth knowledge and profound expertise in enterprise systems and the full lifecycle of analysis, design, software development, architecture, integration, testing, and deployments. They are responsible for shaping the direction of technical sales initiatives and creating advanced, forward-thinking solutions. This role works directly with Argano's sales team to assist in qualifying existing and prospective client technical needs, developing and presenting client solutions, assisting with proposals, and promoting Argano's solutions and services to key clients. The Principal Presales Solutions Architect provides technical leadership to large-size prospects and partners, helping them understand the advantages of Argano's offerings and solutions to meet their business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the highest quality solution designs and implementation.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of current and planned applications, tools, and technologies related to the Argano 4 Oracle supported platforms and tools.
  • Leads project solution design through implementations, overseeing critical milestones.
  • Completes RFP responses.
  • Works with the sales team to drive sales cycles to completion.
  • Promptly communicates, engages, and acts appropriately to remedy client satisfaction issues occurring before, during, and after an engagement, escalating to the PMO as necessary.
  • Utilizes entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the Oracle Cloud community.
  • Meets with clients to advocate for process improvements to their existing business processes.
  • Leads strategic business process transformation sessions and conversations to identify opportunities for improvement related to people, process, or technology.
  • Leads design meetings with clients to identify their business process requirements and technical needs to determine the proper solution for implementation.
  • Architects the overall proposed solution and implementation strategy.
  • Performs quality control on estimates and Statements of Work related to scope, project drivers, assumptions, complimentary and competing initiatives, and critical path items.
  • Participates in defining and delivering project proposals and estimates, statements of work, and implementation strategies.
  • Communicates product information and provides guidance to clients and coworkers on issues, tools and techniques, enhancements, changes in processes, and related information.
  • Architects complex and large-scale solutions, including creating detailed architectural diagrams and specifications.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their strategic goals and aligning technical solutions accordingly, producing technical and software specification documentation that allows remote development teams to implement solutions as designed.
  • Oversees quality assurance processes and ensures adherence to industry best practices.
  • Manages and prioritizes the flow of work starting with idea intake, analysis, definition, backlog, and through the build and delivery phase.
  • Provides direction to internal project teams during the configuration and test phase to meet the proposed solution.
  • Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Leverages market research, design thinking, and continuous exploration to understand customer and market needs.

Education

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology/Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field is expected.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in computer science or software engineering preferred.
  • Ability to manage/deliver large projects, including experience planning and estimating preferred.
  • Validated ability to support sales as Subject Matter Expert.
  • Understanding of business-related drivers and parameters.

Experience

  • Ability to understand fundamental Oracle Cloud ERP system design and purpose.
  • Understanding of project implementation methodologies and knowledge of challenges commonly faced by client and implementation teams.
  • Ability to engage effectively at senior levels within organizations.
  • Strong intrapersonal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning to stay current on trends and Oracle Cloud releases.
  • Willing to travel as necessary.
  • Track record of technically leading commercially successful software products.
  • Experience with at least 3 implementation projects as Solution Architect role.
  • Experience in various levels of Engineering and Professional Services including design, development, and implementation of projects.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Oracle certified preferred.

  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to close deals with high-value clients.
