Overview
Ares Management is seeking a Vice President Ares Foundation Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting activities for the Ares Charitable Foundation. The Foundation aims to accelerate economic equity and equality globally through strategic investments in career preparation, reskilling, entrepreneurship, and personal finance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee general ledger, cash, banking, expense and revenue accounting, billing and accounts payable processes.
- Interpret and summarize contribution and grant agreements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Direct internal and external financial reporting, including quarterly presentations and annual audits.
- Manage billing operations to support cash flow and vendor relationships.
- Support donor-related activities with up-to-date financial reporting.
- Develop and implement robust policies and internal controls.
- Support annual budget development and quarterly reforecasting.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least 10 years of progressive experience in nonprofit accounting and financial management, preferably in roles like Assistant Controller or higher. Applicants must demonstrate excellent project management, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability are essential.
Additional Information
