The Manager Says
The purpose of this role is to work within the Equinox Lectio team, assisting underwriters in providing excellent client service and contributing to the growth and expansion of this cross-class underwriting facility.
Key Role Accountabilities
As guided by the underwriters, you will undertake the following activities:
- Monitor receipt of submissions.
- Provide quotes in accordance with in-scoping rules.
- Monitor and chase open quotes.
- Process firm orders and confirm coverage to the client.
- Ensure accurate and timely data capture on internal systems.
- Apply Lectio stamps to MRC via placing platforms.
- Ensure timely filing of all correspondence.
- Send slips for processing and, where required, aggregate teams for reporting to insurers.
- Send endorsements to processing and aggregate teams for reporting to insurers, where required.
- Assist with the final document download from PPL and Whitespace.
- Participate in regular team meetings to review progress against targets.
- Build good working relationships with the various broking teams.
- Perform various ad-hoc tasks to support the end-to-end processes of the Lectio Team, as directed by the Underwriters.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within the London Insurance Market.
- Preferably, experience within a Coverholder team.
- High-level proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint experience is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are valuable.
Person Specification
This role involves a split between home working and the London office, requiring you to be self-motivated and disciplined, yet also a team player. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical, with an interest in data and spotting inconsistencies being an asset. You should be willing to engage in more in-depth work during busy periods, with a view to learning and progressing towards an underwriting role. Comfort working with all team members and contacting brokers to chase outstanding items is essential.
