A Day in the Life of a Bilingual Construction Project Manager

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Collaborate with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budgets.
• Participate in proposal meetings, discuss cost reduction and value engineering, and negotiate contracts.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure materials or specialty equipment directly to benefit project budget or schedule.
• Work with the Project Superintendent to develop subcontractor scopes, contracts, project schedules, and site logistics plans.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings to address constructability, sequencing, and manpower issues.
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings to review progress and address challenges with the client.
• Track and manage project performance against budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
• Ensure the construction process is fun for clients, subcontractors, and vendors without sacrificing quality or safety.

Necessary Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 1-4 years of construction management or engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
