About The Position
The Category Buyer manages a specific group of products ensuring the right products are available at the right time, price, and quality. This involves sourcing, negotiating with suppliers, analyzing market trends, and improving product offerings.

Day in the Life
- Process daily orders and research cost reduction opportunities
- Negotiate pricing and place orders with vendors
- Manage invoices, purchase orders, and pricing
- Collaborate with project managers, warehouse staff, and vendors
- Utilize software systems including eCMS and Astea for procurement
- Apply LEAN concepts and continuous improvement methodologies
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting, or related field
- 3-5 years experience in purchasing, preferably in electrical construction
- Experience with computerized, web-based procurement and inventory software
- Knowledge of electrical construction industry and contract reading skills
- Strong financial, analytical, and negotiation skills
Travel
20%-30% travel expected.
