About Archer

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft to advance sustainable air mobility. The company designs, manufactures, and operates an electric aircraft that carries four passengers with minimal noise.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines to design high-reliability, safety-critical systems for an eVTOL aircraft.
  • Manage digital mock-up zonal sections and control subsystem space allocation.
  • Oversee routing envelopes, interface requirements models (IRMs), and BOM structure.
  • Coordinate regular design fly through meetings to resolve conflicts.
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure design for manufacturability.

What you need

  • 10+ years of systems or structural design engineering experience.
  • BS, MS, or PhD in engineering.
  • Expertise in CAD design and BOM management.
  • Experience with aircraft type certification under applicable regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and project management skills.

Bonus Qualifications

  • 2+ years of team leadership experience.
  • Experience with EWIS, environmental control systems, or structures design.
  • Shop floor liaison and model-based engineering definition experience.

Compensation & Additional Information
