Role Overview
The Team Lead, Software Engineering supervises a team of engineers who support, enhance, and maintain software applications and tools. This role ensures operational efficiency and adherence to engineering standards through collaboration with cross-functional partners and other teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and direct work schedules for both contractors and employees.
- Supervise software engineering staff and perform basic people management duties.
- Collaborate with supervisors and management to complete objectives.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action planning for software issues.
- Develop reporting tools to monitor engineering efficiency and standards.
- Produce regular and ad hoc metrics on performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills
- Intermediate software engineering and problem-solving proficiency.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a team.
- Proven collaboration in a remote, global work environment.
- Intermediate statistical analysis and vendor management skills.
Education And Experience
Typically 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Previous managerial/leadership experience is preferred but not required.
