We’re partnering with a global manufacturing organization undergoing dynamic growth and investment across multiple production sites. We’re looking for a Logistics Project Specialist who wants to move beyond operational logistics and play a key role in shaping how supply chain processes are designed and implemented.
The Role
This is a project-driven role with strong exposure to cost ownership and investment decisions. You will be responsible not only for designing logistics solutions, but also for evaluating their financial impact, supporting budgeting processes, and driving cost-efficient project execution.
Responsibilities
- Designing and optimizing logistics processes across production environments
- Supporting layout planning and material flow concepts
- Analyzing and managing logistics-related costs (CAPEX & OPEX)
- Supporting budgeting and investment decisions for new logistics solutions
- Evaluating cost efficiency of different scenarios and recommending optimal solutions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, procurement)
- Supporting on-site implementation during key project phases
- Participating in supplier selection and cost evaluation processes
- Monitoring KPIs and identifying cost optimization opportunities
What we’re looking for:
Experience with cost analysis, budgeting, or investment evaluation in logistics / supply chain. “This role combines logistics design with real financial impact – you won’t just plan processes, you’ll influence how money is spent.”
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in logistics / supply chain within a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to project-based work (implementations, process improvements, new setups)
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with data
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel skills
- Fluency in English and ability to work in an international environment
- Willingness to travel and be present on-site during key project phases
Nice to have:
- Experience with layout planning / AutoCAD
- Background in automotive or large-scale industrial projects (e.g., greenfield / expansions)
