Role Description: Workplace Facilities Assistant at Arcadis

As a Workplace Facilities Assistant, you will play an important role within the Australia Workplace Team, reporting directly to the Workplace Facilities Manager.

Role Accountabilities

The main responsibilities of this Workplace Facilities Assistant role include, but are not limited to:

  • Resolving day-to-day office operational issues and escalating appropriately when necessary.
  • Maintaining office and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Ordering, restocking, and maintaining supplies.
  • Setting up meetings and event spaces, including movement of furniture, ordering food and beverage, and maintaining room tidiness (requires a level of physical fitness).
  • Providing reception cover as/when needed, including answering, screening, and forwarding telephone calls, taking detailed messages, ordering and receiving couriers, and greeting and directing visitors.
  • Coordinating with vendors and building management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Undertaking First Aid and Evacuation Warden roles.
  • Providing meeting room AV support.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

Qualifications & Experience

Arcadis is looking for a Workplace Facilities Assistant with:

  • Relevant experience in a professional environment.
  • Organized, methodical approach and a good work ethic.
  • Professional appearance and manner on the phone and in interaction with clients and staff.
  • Commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Knowledge of general IT systems and those used in the delivery of Workplace services.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks where required.
