The Senior ITS Traffic Engineering Project Manager at Arcadis works on projects involving TDOT standards, ITS design, Traffic Operations Studies, and Safety Studies. A solid background in transportation and traffic engineering, along with a deep understanding of traffic analysis tools and industry guidelines, is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply TDOT, MUTCD, AASHTO, and state DOT guidelines.
  • Use traffic analysis tools like VISSIM, CORSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, and HCS.
  • Manage projects with Microstation, ArcGIS, Synchro, and Sidra.
  • Oversee Traffic Signal Field Operations and implementations.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 8+ years of transportation or traffic engineering experience post-graduation.
  • Tennessee PE and PTOE certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience with Nashville DOT and TN project requirements.
