Aquent is seeking a freelance Product Designer with 4-6 years of experience to work within a complex product environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, data, and product management.

Context and Challenges

Our client, a major international pharmaceutical group, is undergoing a digital transformation of its industrial operations and is strengthening its product teams focused on Manufacturing and Supply Chain environments. The objective is to design high-value digital business tools for industrial teams (production, planning, industrial data, supply chain).

This mission is part of a program to optimize digital tools used in the group's industrial environments. The products involved include internal platforms, operational dashboards, and business tools used daily by field teams and supply functions.

Main Challenges

• Improve operational efficiency for manufacturing and supply chain teams.
• Design robust user experiences in complex technical environments.
• Accelerate design cycles using AI-augmented design workflows.
• Facilitate design-engineering-data collaboration within product pods.

Your Role

As a Product Designer, you will directly support one or more product pods, taking charge of UX/UI design for key features, from the discovery phase to product delivery. You will also contribute to cross-functional UX initiatives to ensure consistent experiences across digital products within the industrial ecosystem.

Responsibilities

End-to-End Product Design

• Design complete UX/UI experiences: discovery, scoping, wireframing, prototyping, and specifications for development teams.
• Translate complex business problems (manufacturing/supply chain) into effective and ergonomic interfaces.
• Produce interactive prototypes and detailed flows to accelerate product alignment.

User Research & Insights

• Conduct pragmatic user research: field interviews, user testing, usage analysis.
• Synthesize insights to inform product decisions.
• Structure UX documentation (journey maps, flows, specs).

Product Collaboration

• Work closely with developers, data scientists, and Product Owners.
• Participate in design reviews and product rituals.
• Present work to business and technical stakeholders.

Augmented Design Workflows

• Integrate AI-assisted tools and methods into design processes.
• Accelerate phases of prototyping, exploration, or documentation using augmented tools.

Profile Sought

Experience

• 4 to 6 years of experience in Product Design / UX Design.
• Experience with complex digital products or B2B business tools.
• Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial environments is a strong advantage.

Profiles with experience in projects related to factories or industrial environments within large groups (automotive, aerospace, defense, heavy industry, etc.) will be particularly relevant.

Skills

• Proficiency in UX Research, Interaction Design, and prototyping methods.
• Excellent command of Figma (design systems, advanced prototyping).
• Ability to produce clear design documentation for engineering teams.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams.
