Job Overview

APTIM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support a varying portfolio of projects for federal and commercial clients. The role involves building design, waterfront structures, foundation design, evaluation of existing structures, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full understanding of structural engineering principles to resolve complex issues.
  • Application of principles, theories, and concepts in structural engineering.
  • Developing design basis, calculations, specifications, and detailed engineering solutions.
  • Reviewing structural design drawings and submittals/shop drawings.
  • Ensuring conformance to engineering codes, standards, and company procedures.
  • Contributing effectively to a team environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's is a plus).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Mathcad, STAAD/ANSYS, and CADD software.
  • PE or SE license required; NCEES record, nuclear, and finite element analysis experience are plus.
  • Willingness to travel for infrequent field assignments.
