Job Overview
APTIM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team of engineering professionals serving Government and Commercial programs. APTIM is a leading provider of consulting, engineering, construction, scientific program, and project management services, delivering safe and sustainable solutions across environmental and infrastructure markets. This role involves critical thinking applied to planning, procurement, design, construction, and commissioning phases of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce complete electrical design documentation including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- May serve in a project leadership role and supervise lower level personnel.
- Resolve complex problems through detailed data analysis and sound judgment.
- Coordinate with Engineers and Designers for multi-discipline design packages.
- Assist in initial planning, design, procurement and construction phases.
- Ensure adherence to engineering codes, standards, and company policies.
- Travel to work sites and company offices for engineering support and client meetings.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
- 10+ years related experience with a solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and ANSI codes and standards.
- Professional Engineering license or potential to obtain one shortly after hire.
- Ability to obtain a DOE security clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
- Strong computer skills with Office and engineering analysis software (ETAP, SKM, Visual, etc.).
- Experience with CADD systems (AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation) is preferred.
- Field, factory, or construction experience is a strong plus.
