Project Engineer, QA/QC
APTIM is seeking an experienced Engineer to support an ongoing long-term design-build project in Brooklyn, NY. This field position is to support QA/QC activities on the Brooklyn project and may also include support for additional APTIM projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Manage Project Quality Control Plan implementation by the project team.
- Implement and document the Three Phase Inspection Process to ensure construction adheres to design and approved materials.
- Collaborate with the Engineer of Record to resolve design and construction issues.
- Serve as the project Vibration Specialist by documenting and reporting vibration levels near construction sites.
- Evaluate and report data trends of optical monitoring data (displacement of buildings, bridges, and bulkheads).
- Complete Daily Quality Control Reports documenting ongoing inspection activities.
- Maintain frequent verbal and written communication with clients, partners, and APTIM leadership.
- Identify conflicts, requests, and requirements and liaison with the engineering team.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field; Geotechnical, Civil or Structural preferred.
- Licensed New York State Professional Engineer.
- 10-20 years of relevant experience with at least 5+ years in vibration experience.
- USACE CQM Certification is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 40 Hour Hazwoper Training is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite and quick learner of project-specific standards.

Compensation
The targeted salary for this position is between $150,000 and $200,000 dependent on experience and qualifications.
