Job Overview
APTIM is seeking a motivated and proactive Project Engineer - Fuels to join our team of engineering professionals serving our Federal Fueling programs. The role involves engineering and construction services for aviation and ground products fueling facilities including bulk storage tanks, fueling piers, pipeline systems, and more. Engineers will work on multiple projects, both in the field (domestic and international) and in the office.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Uphold DoD and industry standards (e.g., UFC, AW, UFGS).
- Interact with clients to translate needs into actionable plans.
- Develop technical documents including scopes, drawings, and reports.
- Ensure construction compliance with federal, state, and local codes.
- Gather productivity data supporting estimating activities.
Basic Qualifications
- BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- 5 years of experience in DoD or commercial fuels projects.
- Experience with USACE, AFCEC, NAVFAC is preferred.
- US Citizenship and background check clearance required.
- PE candidates and AutoCAD experience preferred.
