Job Summary:
APTIM is seeking Mechanical Engineers to join our team of engineering professionals serving Government and Commercial programs. APTIM is a leading provider of integrated, comprehensive services across environmental and infrastructure markets. Engineers will apply critical thinking to planning, procurement, design, construction, and commissioning phases of projects. They are expected to be creative problem solvers supporting varied government and commercial clients while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and interpret engineering data and develop project design bases.
- Create specifications, conceptual designs, calculations, system studies, and design drawings.
- Ensure conformance to engineering codes, standards, and company policies.
- Assist in proposal efforts, report documentation, estimate preparation and client design packages.
- Organize own work to meet deadlines and communicate effectively within a team environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2-7 years of experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering theories, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical engineering software including CADD (AutoCAD, REVIT, or MicroStation).
- Nuclear experience is a plus and FE/EIT candidates are preferred.
- Willingness to travel for field assignments and work both independently and in team settings.
