Job Overview

APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC is seeking an Environmental Scientist on a full-time basis to participate in a variety of environmental compliance tasks. This role supports RCRA, state hazardous waste, non-RCRA waste, regulated waste and hazardous materials management programs.

The successful candidate will work on waste profile development, quality assurance/quality control review of waste profiles, waste determinations, and Safety Data Sheets. Excellent communication skills are required to interact with clients, suppliers, and junior level staff. The role is primarily office-based with travel to client facilities for compliance reviews and data gathering.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Execute and manage various work scopes within project budgets and schedules.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in changing conditions.
  • Interface with client personnel at corporate and facility levels.
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies.
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality.
  • Apply knowledge to both standard and nonstandard situations.
  • Follow defined processes and develop new ones as needed.
  • Utilize prior experience in environmental compliance and federal/state regulations.
  • Apply specific knowledge in RCRA, state hazardous waste, non-RCRA waste, and regulated waste compliance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, core science, engineering, or related area.
  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft applications.
  • Willingness to travel and work in the field if required.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated pay range for this role is $65K to $75K annually, dependent on experience, education, skills, geographic location and market factors.
