Job Overview

APTIM is seeking an electrical engineer to join our team of engineering professionals serving our Government and Commercial programs. Engineers will apply critical thinking to planning, procurement support, design, construction, and commissioning phases of projects.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with experience in the engineering and construction industry. This role involves working on multiple projects and supporting varied clients in a professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Produce complete electrical design documentation including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Possibly lead projects and supervise lower level personnel.
• Resolve complex problems through detailed data analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers on multi-discipline design packages.
• Assist in planning, design, procurement, and construction phases.
• Ensure conformance with engineering codes, standards, and company policies.
• Travel to work sites and company offices to support engineering efforts.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
• 4-7 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and ANSI codes.
• Professional Engineering license or ability to obtain one promptly.
• Ability to secure a DOE security clearance (US Citizen required).
• Strong computer skills with MS Office.
• Experience with engineering analysis software (ETAP, SKM, Visual, etc.).
• Proficiency in CADD (AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Field, factory, construction, and practical electrical skills are a plus.
