Job Overview

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer supports a diverse portfolio of projects for Federal and commercial clients. You will work on projects for the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, FEMA, local authorities, commercial retail companies, oil and gas providers, and coastal protection authorities. In this role, you will interact directly with clients, manage projects from proposals to construction, and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on a variety of technical projects
  • Pursue new business opportunities including proposals and budgets
  • Perform geotechnical analyses including slope stability and seismic evaluations
  • Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and manage project schedules
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise junior engineers
  • Oversee construction oversight programs ensuring project success
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of geotechnical engineering experience or equivalent
  • Professional Engineer's License
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, geological engineering or related field
  • Advanced degree and project management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in technical engineering software and strong computer skills
  • Willingness to travel for field assignments
