Position Overview

Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is searching for an Entry Level Rating Technician to focus on developing carrier rate books for various Canadian insurance carriers. In this role, you will develop, test, and maintain underwriting rules and rates, and work closely with Quality Control after verifying the quality of these books.

What You’ll Do

  • Data entry of rates and territories
  • Stay educated on underwriting guideline changes
  • Assist the Development team with creating and testing updates
  • Support the Quality Control team with required testing

Your Experience and Skills

You should have 0-2 years of experience as a Technical Analyst with a strong understanding of underwriting guidelines, excellent computer and communication skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Programming, or a related field.

Additional desirable skills include experience with Excel, XML, data analysis tools, JIRA, and bilingualism (French & English) as well as some exposure to the insurance industry.
