Technical Project Management
This role requires knowledge and experience in its own discipline, while still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills. The successful candidate will build knowledge of the company, processes, and customers, solving a range of straightforward problems. This involves analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and operating with a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and identify new projects aligned with the overall goals of the team, defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technical projects on time by coordinating cross-functional key stakeholders, managing timelines, ensuring technical quality, and mitigating risks.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of overall technical requirements and feasibility through close collaboration with the engineering team.
- Assist in preparing project plans and coordinating project activities from initial planning through implementation. Maintain metrics for process improvements.
- Coordinate project schedules and task details, and help prepare reports, tracking charts, checklists, and project scheduling.
- Help align the progress of internal business unit resources to meet project on-time and budget performance objectives.
- Track project costs and schedules for both internal and external customers.
- On occasion, interface with external suppliers, monitoring and reporting on project progress against quality and cost metrics.
- Interface with internal customers and report on progress against project objectives.
