Work Environment

This is an in-office role requiring employees to work at the Applied Intuition office five days a week, with occasional remote work flexibility for meetings or family commitments.

About the Role

We are seeking a Research Scientist focused on robotics to join our Research Team. The role involves conducting research on robotic foundation models, vision-language-action models, reinforcement learning, and whole-body control applied to autonomous driving and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge research in autonomous systems.
• Collaborate on publications in top-tier conferences.
• Work with research engineers to test and deploy algorithms.
• Leverage large-scale data and industry-leading simulators.

Qualifications

• Strong record in AI, machine learning, robotics, and computer vision.
• MSc or PhD in related fields.
• Demonstrated research skills and collaborative work approach.

Nice to Have

• Experience in reinforcement learning, multi-modal models, or motion capture.
• Familiarity with robotic hardware and teleoperation strategies.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation includes a competitive base salary ($158,000 - $304,000 USD annually), equity components, comprehensive health benefits, 401k with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Actual offers depend on experience, credentials, and performance.
