Work Arrangement
This is primarily an in-office role based in Mountain View, CA with occasional remote flexibility to accommodate personal commitments.
About the Role
The Research Engineer - Simulation will join the Research Team to conduct world-class research on autonomous systems for applications such as autonomous driving and robotics. You will work with large-scale data, industry-leading simulators, and collaborate closely with research scientists and interns to produce high-quality research publications and deploy cutting-edge neural simulation models.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on reconstruction, world models, and traffic/physics-based simulation.
- Collaborate on high-quality research papers for top-tier conferences.
- Work with simulation tool teams to deploy neural simulation and world models.
Qualifications
Required skills include hands-on experience with world foundation models, 3D/4D reconstruction, novel view synthesis, traffic simulation, and deformable object simulation specific to autonomous driving and robotics. A passion for building and shipping customer-focused software frameworks is essential. Strong research skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively are a must.
Nice to Have
MSc or PhD in machine learning, computer vision, graphics, or a related field. Experience with training large-scale data and ML models.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this full-time role is $158,000 - $304,000 USD annually, with additional equity, comprehensive benefits, 401k, wellness stipends, and paid time off.
