Apple is working with advanced technologies to build ground-breaking new products. The Vision Products Group is seeking a Product Designer/Prototyper to help build applications and prototypes for a new medium and drive development of future-facing products. We build technology that inspires people.
Description
In this role as UI Designer Prototyper, you will investigate, concept, and prototype new experiences for MR using evolving technologies. You will collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to craft transformative experiences, balancing customer needs with technical constraints to deliver compelling visuals and actionable design recommendations. Projects vary from rapid prototyping to creating scalable production assets for shipping, ensuring high quality through close engineering collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications
- Portfolio/reel showing UI and motion design in diverse styles
- Proficiency in iterative UI/UX design including sketches, wireframes, and concept development
- Excellent visual, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality, polished visual assets
- Experience with rapid prototyping and managing time vs. complexity tradeoffs
- Capability to create multiple styles for concepting backgrounds, characters and items
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing or implementing new UI systems and tools
- Knowledge of macOS and iOS design principles
- Understanding of 3D content principles and experience with 3D engines/APIs like Unity, Unreal, or ARKit/RealityKit
- Hands-on experience with 3D content creation tools (Houdini, Maya, Blender, etc.)
Pay & Benefits
The base pay range for this role is between $121,300 and $183,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Some roles might also be eligible for relocation benefits.
