Role Overview
As a Technical Writer, Applications at Apple, you will work on software specifications and user interface copy for Apple Creator Studio. You will play a key role from conceptual stages through development and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather information from Design, Product Management, Engineering, and more.
- Draft clear, understandable technical specifications and user interface copy.
- Capture use cases, edge cases, and functional requirements.
- Present specifications and UX proposals to cross-functional teams and senior executives.
- Manage documentation schedules and milestones.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 1 year of software-related technical writing experience, with a proven ability to document complex apps across multiple platforms (Mac, iPad, and iPhone). Excellent composition and grammar skills, meticulous note-taking, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are required. BS/BA in a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with use cases, requirements specifications, user flows, UX writing and documentation review meetings. Advanced experience or degree in Technical Communication is a plus.
Pay & Benefits
The base pay range for this role is between $112,500 and $231,700. Apple offers stock options, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, retirement packages, and more. Additional perks include educational reimbursements and potential relocation assistance.
