About the Role
The Applications team is seeking a Technical Writer for Apple Creator Studio. This unique role blends software specification writing with UX copy creation to shape ideas from concept through development and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and distill complex information from Design, Product Management, Engineering, and stakeholders.
- Create clear, detailed software specifications covering use cases and edge cases.
- Craft concise and user-friendly interface copy read by millions on Apple devices.
- Lead documentation review meetings and present proposals to senior executives.
- Manage documentation schedules and communicate timeline adjustments as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 1 year of software-related technical writing experience, excellent composition skills, and a BS/BA degree in a related field. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while understanding the software development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with use cases, subscription based apps, and leading documentation meetings is a plus. Advanced technical writing experience or degree in Technical Communication is desirable.
Pay & Benefits
Base pay ranges from $112,500 to $231,700 depending on experience, with opportunities for stock programs, comprehensive benefits, discretionary bonuses, and relocation support.
