Description
As a Sr. Applied AI Software Engineer, you will work across the entire stack from system software and frameworks to end-user interfaces. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with design, algorithms, services, privacy, security, performance, and hardware teams to create production-ready systems that power Apple Intelligence features.
Your responsibilities include:
- Writing Swift (or other app languages) code and integrating AI/ML algorithms.
- Translating user experience insights into technical requirements.
- Engineering robust systems that scale to millions of users.
- Collaborating with teams on interface design and system frameworks.
- Iterating quickly to demonstrate proof-of-concept technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related experience, 5+ years of software development experience, strong programming skills in Swift, Objective-C, or C++, and a deep understanding of data structures and system thinking.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in shipping user-facing products, development on iOS/MacOS, working with LLMs or computer vision, processing sensor data, and developing under strict privacy and security constraints is highly desirable.
Pay & Benefits
Base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, along with opportunities for stock programs, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and retirement plans. Additional perks include employee discounts, tuition reimbursement, and more.
