Description
The visionOS Software Engineering Program is looking for people with a passion for detail and track record of shipping complex projects. This is a hands-on role where you are embedded in engineering teams, helping them execute effectively to deliver quality features on time, and driving projects through the SW development lifecycle from conception through shipping. Ability to balance multiple project and team contexts, while understanding how your areas fit into the larger program and product context are essential. You should demonstrate high integrity, curiosity, proactivity, tenacity, and feel comfortable in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment. Skills for collaborating, communicating up, digging into the details, prioritizing and rock tumbling to influence partners and stakeholders are key. Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Partner with engineering management to facilitate all aspects of projects: Define, schedule, prioritize, track, proactively manage and communicate status of multiple projects at large
- Representation: Represent your team, its technology, and project status in project and executive meetings
- Risk Management: Lead cross-organizational project teams to understand technical critical paths, to identify and mitigate risks
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously look for opportunities to improve how your team’s projects are run and executed
- Roadblock Removal: Proactively look ahead and keep the path clear for your teams
- Best Practices: Advise and encourage engineering and project management best practices to deliver quality features per plan
- Multitasking: Prioritize tasks across multiple product releases and efforts simultaneously
- Quality Control: Coordinate between QA and engineering to characterize quality issues, drive resolution, and ultimately ship quality features
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of related experience with a BS/MS, Computer Science / Engineering or relevant industry experience
- Experience driving and delivering multiple software project features which involve integration with different teams
- Experience identifying and resolving project conflicts and inter-dependencies
- Demonstrated experience in data-driven decision making based on technical costs/benefits and tradeoffs
- Experience communicating complex technical, logical, and process issues across varied audiences, including high-level management
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships across and between organizations
- Proven record of applying strong organizational skills to project workflows

- Prior experience working with Software Development Kits (SDKs) and enabling 3rd party developers
- Ability to create and execute plans in ambiguous settings
- Curious, self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Flexibility to dive into new areas quickly
- Possess an analytical mindset and deep attention to detail, especially in predicting and mitigating potential future challenges

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $127,700 and $192,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
